- No. No no no. No no no no no no no. TV Squad is reporting that Battlestar Galactica’s final season may be cut short. Although about half of season 4’s episodes have been shot, NBC Universal has invoked the force majeure contract clause (basically calling the writers’ strike an Act of God), thereby placing the show in indefinite hiatus for the length of the strike. They will then have the option of hiring back actors and writers at the end of the strike — assuming they have not taken other work. And, even though I have read the article in its entirety, I am going to pretend it never existed. La la la la la la I can’t hear you! The trees are pretty here in Denial Land, aren’t they?
- Want to know exactly how many episodes of your favorite show are left? Ausiello has updated the strike chart. It’s a good time to be a cop show starting with a definite article, as The Wire and The Shield have full seasons set to air next year. Men In Trees is also sitting pretty, having stockpiled five episodes from last year, and fans of One Tree Hill should be pleased with the twelve episodes remaining, if there was such a thing as a fan of One Tree Hill. Everyone else? Not looking so good. Found via MeeVee

THIS is why I always take industrial action out of the force majeure clause when I negotiate contracts. If only I’d been around when that one was negotiated… I am so wise.

I love One Tree Hill. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. It is (IMO - please don’t come after me lawyers) the worst acting, worst teenage angst, worst storylines, worst writing, worst teenage drama series ever. Thus rendering it absolutely perfect.
