Some good news for two of my favorite shows:
- The Amazing Race has been picked up for its 13th season, which is no real surprise given the networks’ current reality-TV-is-our-savior attitude.
- In less-expected news, Friday Night Lights finds itself in a strong position for 2008, with six episodes left to air and steady ratings, particularly among the young, educated and wealthy. I’m sure there’s a lengthy post in there about why the comfortably middle-class and above so enjoy spending time with the working class citizens of Dillon, but for now I’m just going to enjoy the good news. I’ve got my fingers, toes and eyes crossed that there might actually be a season 3. If, you know, the strike ever ends.
