Tuesday Tidbits: BBC Edition

British TV

  • The BBC has picked up Being Human for a full series. Although it won’t air until 2009, it’s good to know that a show about a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost sharing a flat will get a second chance. If we’re really lucky, they’ll expand to include a witch and a troll and create the first supernatural soap opera.
  • In case the Thursday TV schedule wasn’t crowded enough, the BBC has gone and placed The Invisibles on that night. The comedy/drama (I will not use the word dramedy unless someone pays me to do so) stars Anthony Stewart Head and Warren Clarke as two former thieves who have retired to the Devon countryside but find themselves unable to adapt to a law-abiding life. Wacky hijinks are sure to ensue. It premieres on BBC1 Thursday night at 9:00.
